1Students from the science entry stream take PATH_V 300. Students from the Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist entry stream may take PATH_V 300 or use the credit space to take CHEM_V 211 or Arts electives or first year English, as required.

2 BMLSc students who have not taken CHEM_V 211 prior to entry will be required to take it in third year, in preparation for CHEM_V 315.

3 PATH_V 438 – Directed Studies is an optional course available to students in fourth year.


PATH_V 438 Directed Studies (6cr)

The objective of PATH_V 438 is to provide students with experience in research.  Research projects are carried out in the laboratory of a Faculty member of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine who acts as a supervisor.  The student is expected to participate in the design of the project as well as perform experimental manipulations and data analysis.
