UBC’s Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLSc) Program is a unique undergraduate science degree that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical lab experience, giving students the tools they need to meaningfully engage in real-world scientific research and biotechnology.
Established in 1980, the program has a long history within the Faculty of Medicine’s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, which is recognized as one of the finest in North America. Graduates of our program have gone on to pursue diverse careers in healthcare, research and biotechnology, among others.
