Are you planning on a career as a health professional? Do you need practical laboratory skills that will help you get a great job in a medical research laboratory? Are you currently working in the clinical laboratory and want to get a degree, enabling advancement in the workplace/career change? Are you interested in the health field but not sure of your future career path? The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLSc) Program may be the perfect choice for you!
As a student in the program, you’ll gain practical lab experience and knowledge in a broad range of health science subjects, while developing crucial transferrable competencies. Students enter Year 3 of the program and complete two years of study. With only 24 students accepted into the program each year, our students develop instrumental collegial relationships with each other and with their instructors. Students learn from nationally and internationally recognized researchers and award-winning teachers.
Please note that although the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science Program has a similar name, it is a completely different program from Medical Laboratory Science Technologist (MLT) training programs. You cannot become a certified MLT through the BMLSc Program. See the FAQs for more information.
